Home beer making is some-thing I first got into despite the fact that I was still at school.

Secondly even though ordinary, average beer from the off licence was cheap, it was still too expensive for us schoolkids to be able to buy sufficient for a few of us to be able to go out and get a sufficient amount of for a party.
Thirdly it started to be a fun (and profitable) hobby.
To start with our beer making efforts resulted in some pretty horrible brews, nauseating tasting, cloudy (like a dirty river in full flood), full of sediment and almost guaranteed to make even the most steel stomached of us vomit after just a few bottles.

It's just a shame it took me so long to get to the point my beer was at least as good as the mass produced beer.
